July 4th in the city of Ventura is always lots of fun. The day starts with the annual Ventura’s July 4th Street Fair with a free parade, music, food & arts sales, children’s activities and then continues in the evening at Ventura City College for a paid family picnic and fireworks show.

PUSHEM PULLEM PARADE:
Children and adults and their bicycles and little red wagons are invited to dress up for the Pushem-Pullem Parade sponsored by the Ventura East Rotary Club.

The parade assembles at Cemetery Park (Main & Crimea) at 9:30 am and begins to parade down Main Street at 10 am.

Participants receive a free commemorative button while supplies last. Dress up in your favorite era or style for this year’s theme “Celebrating 40 Years.”

STREET FAIR
Ventura’s 4th of July Street Fair continues its proud 39-year-old tradition on  July 4, 2015 from 10 am to 5 pm in Ventura’s Downtown Cultural District. It runs along nine blocks of Main Street from Fir Street to Mission Park, with children’s activities, environmental displays, savory foods and5 stages of live entertainment.

Kids Zone
At Mission Park kids can enjoy WOW "Jump Party" inflatables and visit a Ventura Fire Department fire engine.

VENTURA PICNIC & FIREWORKS
The Ventura 4th of July Fireworks Show & Family Picnic is a celebration of our country's independence and of our wonderful Ventura community!

The Kids Zone will have several GIANT bounce houses plus fun organized games for kids of all ages! And you can enjoy a tasty bite from Food Trucks and vendors, including: It's In the Sauce, World Famous Franks, PizzaMan Dan's, Himalaya Restaurant, Chicago's Finest, California Kettle Corn, Dippin' Dots, Kristine's Coffee, Baskin Robbins and more!

The fireworks show is a custom designed “Sky Concert” from the California-based experts at Pyro Spectaculars! Much more than a prepackaged show shipped from China and accompanied by some music, this “Sky Concert” will feature over 3,000 firework effects finely choreographed to a contemporary musical score. Hey we’ll be honest - we’d be shocked if Katie Perry’s “Fireworks” wasn’t included in the score somewhere, so you’ve been warned! But seriously, you can expect many “oos” and “ahs” and a front seat to an incredible fireworks show – oops, we mean “Sky Concert”!
