Santa Paula, Ojai, and Fillmore Events to Celebrate Independance Day

Every July 4th the city of Ojai and Fillmore go all out to celebrate the July 4th holiday. Here are all the details for some good old fashioned July 4th family fun.

OJAI
July 3rd Patriotic Concert ~ 6:30PM

The fun in Ojai starts on July 3rd from 6:30pm at Libbey Bowl as the Ventura Brass Band plays a FREE Patriotic Concert for families.

Ojai 4th of July Youth Freedom Run ~8:45AM 
Sponsored by the Ojai Rotary Club and the Ojai Unified School District, the Fourth of July Freedom Run has been put on annually since 1995. All participants in the Fourth of July Fun Run are given a
first-place ribbon.

Meet at Libbey Bowl for warm-up to music.The race starts at the Ojai post office and runs east along Ojai Avenue, then loops around and ends up back at the post office.  Parents can accompany their children and run a half-mile or one-mile loop.

8:45 AM A fun warm-up — which includes bouncing items on a parachute — will begins at 9 a.m., and the run itself will start at 9:15 a.m. The parade follows promptly at 10 a.m.

Participation is open to all kids through age 12.

Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. on the Fourth of July near the Libbey Fountain. The fee is a $1 Donation.

Ojai Independence Day Parade ~10:00 AM (OJAI)
The Ojai Independence Day Parade will take place on July 4th in downtown Ojai starting at 10:00 AM. It starts in downtown Ojai at  Country Club Road to Park Road, awards are at Libbey Park. This year's theme is God Bless the USA!

 Nordhoff High School Stadium opens its gates at 5:00 PM for a flag ceremony, food booths, live music, games and rides, entertainment, followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. No alcohol allowed.

FILLMORE
The day starts off with the Sespe Creek Chili Cook-Off & Car Show from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM in downtown Fillmore.

The event includes, cars, a Chili Cook-Off, Train Rides and Live Entertainment. The Chili Cook-Off and Car Show is presented by City of Fillmore Chamber of Commerce, and is located at 300 Block Central Avenue, Fillmore. This event is free to attend.

Fireworks Train
Fillmore & Western Railway Co. Presents: Firecracker Dinner Train from 6:30 PM - 9:45PM. Adults: $72 Youth ( 4-12) $41 Child( 2- 3)$22 Under 2- FREE on lap.

Fillmore Fireworks
The City of Fillmore in conjunction with TNT Fireworks & Phantom Fireworks sponsors a professional fireworks display. The display will be launched from Fillmore Middle School located 543 A Street in the City of Fillmore. The show is scheduled to begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 pm) and last approximately 25 minutes and is FREE.

SANTA PAULA
There is a FREE Fireworks show in Santa Paula starting at 9:00 PM at Harding Park at 1314 Harvard St Santa Paula.
