FREE Museum Day For the Whole Family on January 29

FREE Museums in L.A. OC and Santa Barbara

By Informational Post January 22, 2017
SoCal Museums are hosting the 12th Annual Museums Free-for-All on Sunday, January 29, 2017 (only one museum is offering free admission on Saturday, January 28 instead, see below.)

This is the opportiunity for you to see the museums listed below in Los Angeles, Orange County and Santa Barbara for FREE so families  can check out their new exhibits.

The  goal behind this annual event is to raise awareness of free visitor days available year-round at museums across Southern California. A calendar of free days can be found on the SoCal Museums’ website at SoCalMuseums.org/free.

Some of my favorite museums below is the Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball, the Zimmer Children's Museum in Los Angeles and Kidspace in Pasadena. Click below on your favorite museum to find out all the details. Some require tickets so check out the links below.

This offer is for general museum admission only and does not apply to specially ticketed exhibitions. Regular parking fees apply at each museum.

Consult individual museum websites for hours, directions, and other visitor information.

2017 Participating Museums
  • California Science Center: Excludes IMAX films and The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition. A timed reservation with a convenience fee is required for Space Shuttle Endeavour
  • Skirball Cultural Center: Noah’s Ark timed-entry, one-hour tickets are limited and distributed first-come, first-served
