SPRING DANCE CONCERT IN OXNARD 4/21 and 4/22

The Oxnard College Ballet Folklórico Mestizo Will Present Its Annual Spring Dance Concert

The Oxnard College Ballet Folklórico Mestizo will present its annual spring dance concert on Friday, April 20, and Saturday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the brand new Oxnard College Performing Arts Building (OCPA), 4000 South Rose Ave., Oxnard, CA.

Under the direction of Oxnard College English Professor, and group founder, Matilde “Mati” Sanchez, the Ballet Folklórico Mestizo celebrates its 31st anniversary this year and the performance promises to be a fantastic family friendly event that you won't want to miss.

General admission is $12.  Advance ticket sales are available at the Oxnard College Bookstore, (805) 986-5826, and at the Oxnard College Student Business Office, (805) 986-5811. Box Office opens at 6:00 pm. 
In this performance the entire community is invited to Experience the Traditions & Spirit of Mexico!  Colorful & authentic costuming, intricate choreography, and lively toe-tapping, captivating music await concertgoers as this 25-member strong dance troupe, comprised of students, alumni, faculty and staff, perform various regions of Mexico.

While unique to the Ventura County Community College District (VCCCD), the Ballet Folklórico Mestizo, are considered Ambassadors of Oxnard College.  They have performed at various community events and schools throughout Ventura County in an effort to cultivate an appreciation for the Performing Arts.
