A message from Operation Gratitude: In the heat of the summer we are thinking about our Holiday Drive care packages! We are looking for special artwork to feature on our next holiday card that we'll send in each box -- and we're inviting students in grades K-12 to enter our design contest! BIC, is running a nationwide back-to-school sweepstakes, inviting consumers to select their child's favorite schools for the chance to be awarded $4,500 in funding for needed school supplies. Sweepstakes submissions are open to U.S. residents ages 18 and over. Entrants must simply visit BIC's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bicpenpals and complete a registration form including the name of their school. The deadline for entering the sweepstakes is September 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM EST.

Bergin's Automotive in Camarillo is hosting a Women's Car Care Seminar that is free on August 18th from 10am to 2pm. In addition to learning tips to taking care of your car there will be food and giveaways. The registration deadline is August 10th. Space is limited so please call 482-9968 to save your spot. We are still collecting businesses for the "2012 Kidfest Camarillo", happening at Community Center Park in Camarillo on September 30th. The organizer is interested in contacting kid related businesses to see if they would like to participate.
