Save the date for the ultimate shopping entertainment experience at the Ventura Harvest Festival® Original Art & Craft Show, October 5-7 at Seaside Park at the Ventura County Fairgrounds with more than 24,000 handcrafted originals, live music, culinary chef demonstrations, a pumpkin patch Kidzone with Halloween crafts, strolling performers, contests, specialty foods, and more.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR KIDS
  • Gullwings Children’s Museum hosts the Kidzone interactive area where "make 'n' take" seasonal crafts are offered along with hands-on discovery activities to capture the imagination and encourage exploration with youngsters. Activities will pumpkin decorating and more. The Gull Wings Children’s Museum is Ventura County’s only children’s museum.
  • Kids Are 1st will be offering free child ID Kits that include fingerprinting and a photo. A non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children & teens, and educating families through ID events, child passenger safety seat checks, and addressing the risks due to driving while distracted, families will want to utilize their services on site. With a mission to create an awareness of how to keep children safe, their blog site is http://www.kidsare1st.org.
The  Show runs Friday and Saturday: 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday: 10:00am to 5:00pm. Adults are $9, Seniors (62+) $7, Youths (13-17) $4, and Kids 12 and under are free.

Plus guests can connect with the community, as the Boys & Girls Club of Ventura will greet guests at the parcel check and Gull Wings Children’s Museum hosts the Kidzone featuring interactive play and Halloween crafts. A pumpkin patch offers the perfect setting for seasonal photos and Kids Are 1st will be on hand offering free child fingerprint IDs. 


This year’s anniversary celebration includes the artistic element of taste as Master Chef and foodie Jessica Gesell from the hugely popular mommybistro.com shares scrumptious recipes and tips for creating extraordinary eats with fresh ingredients, easy preparation and confidence in the kitchen. Her culinary demonstrations Saturday and Sunday at 1:00pm include tastings for guests.
