C.A.T.S. is a drama and enrichments summer camp that offers performing arts, cooking & specialty camps for ages 4-14 in Ventura County. If you still haven't found the perfect camp for your child, then be sure and check out these fun camps in Camarillo and Ventura for your kids.


CAMARILLO CAMPS 
BOUND FOR BROADWAY - PETER PAN - Ages 7-13 (#5613.440)
  • July 15 - 19, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Performance July 19 at 7:00 pm
  • Registration Fee $175, $20 cash materials fee due to instructor on first day.
  • A fun drama day-camp in a safe, non-competitive environment designed to awaken the creative spirit and imagination through acting, music and movement. Campers can live their acting dream as they are cast in a speaking part and work to present a showcase performance of “Peter Pan” for family and friends on the last day of camp. Students are “immersed” in theatre for a week as they are involved in every aspect of the production from learning lines, music and dance steps, to creating costumes and staging their show. Students must bring a lunch, filled water bottle, snacks and sunscreen. A cash production fee includes: scripts, costume materials; camp t-shirt.

CUPCAKE WARS BOOTCAMP - Ages 7-14 (#5613.441)
  • August 12 - 16, 1:30 - 4:00 pm
  • Registration Fee $150, $20 cash materials fee due to instructor on first day.
  • Young pastry chefs will use the Wilton decorating method to develop personal cupcake themes for a final day Cupcake War competition with medals.
  • The camp is located at Community Center Kitchen and Room 1, 1605 E. Burnley St.

VENTURA CAMPS

  • All camps take place at Barranca Vista Park, 7050 E Ralston St.

 CANDY AND CUPCAKE DECORATING BOOTCAMP - Ages 7-14 (#34956)
  • June 17 - 21, 9:00 am - 11:30 am
  • Registration Fee $150, $20 cash materials fee due to instructor on first day.

COMMERCIAL & FILM ACTING BOOTCAMP - Ages 7-14 (#34957)
  • June 17 - 21, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, Video of class work mailed after camp.
  • Registration Fee $150, $20 cash materials fee due to instructor on first day.
  • If your child dreams of being on TV and in movies this camp is for them! Young actors will learn to perform and audition for the camera as well as: learn acting terms and techniques; perform on-camera scene study; learn to analyze a script; be involved in improv and drama games; work on memory skills; and be introduced to resume & headshot development.
  • A $20 materials fee is payable to the camp on the first day to cover a class DVD that will be mailed to the student after camp ends and for a handbook that they will receive on the last day of camp.
MURDER MYSTERY DRAMA CAMP - THE VAMPIRE MURDERS - Ages 9-14 (#34961)
  • June 24 - 28, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Performance June 28 at 7:00 pm.
  • Registration Fee $175, $20 cash materials fee due to instructor on first day.
  • Think you know what it’s like to create a character on the stage? How about a character whose stage is right in the audience? Join us and learn the art of interactive drama as we produce an interactive murder mystery performance for family and friends on Friday evening. All campers are cast in a speaking part. A $20 cash production fee includes: scripts, production materials and a camp t-shirt. 
WIZARDRY & LITERACY CAMP - Ages 7-13 (#34962)
  • July 8 - 12, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
  • Registration Fee $190
  • Young writing wizards will expand their literary skills by acting out “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” as well as journaling, making wands, hats and Wizardry cuisine. (This event is not endorsed, sanctioned or any other way supported, directly or indirectly, by Warner Bros. Entertainment, the Harry Potter book publishers, or J.K. Rowling and her representatives.)
GLEE MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP - DANCE PARTY HITS! - Ages 7-14 (#34963)
  • July 29 - August 2, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Performance August 2 at 7:00 pm.
  • Registration Fee $175, $15 cash materials fee due to instructor on first day.
  • Come and spend an amazing week working as you form your own Glee choir, learning pop songs and dances used in the hit TV show as you get ready for the big musical revue show on Friday evening for family and friends. Campers must bring a lunch, snack and water. A $15 cash production fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp to cover a practice CD, song sheets, and camp t-shirt. 

WANNA BE A POPSTAR? SOLO VOCAL PERFORMING CAMP - Ages 8-14 (#34964)
  • August 5 - 9, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Performance August 9 at 7:00 pm.
  • Registration Fee $175, $10 cash materials fee due to instructor on first day.
  • Ever wonder what it takes to be a Popstar? Want to get a taste of what it would be like to be a contestant on shows like American Idol, XFactor or The Voice? Come join us for a week of solo and group vocals with lessons in voice technique, stage presence, breath control and singer choreography.  Each participant will select at least one solo song from a list of songs provided the first day of camp then practice your solo as well as a big group number to perform for family and friends on Friday evening. No judging at this camp – everyone has the chance to shine! $10 materials fee due to instructor the first day of camp for materials and practice CD.
