The 2013 Oxnard Relay for Life is scheduled to begin on Saturday July 20th at 9 am at Oxnard High School 3400 W Gonzales Rd, Oxnard.The Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society.
WHAT IS THE RELAY FOR LIFE??
Teams of people camp out at Oxnard High School at 3400 W Gonzales Rd, Oxnard and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are 24 hours in length; representing the reality that cancer never sleeps. By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight cancer in your community.

- Overnight relay-style even that starts at 9am and goes until 9am the following day
- Teams of people camp out around a track
- Members of each team take turns walking around the track for the duration of the event
- Food, games and activities provide entertainment and fundraising opportunities
- Family-friendly environment for the entire community
- Survivor registration starts at 7:30am Saturday and Survivor breakfast starts at 8:00am Saturday!!
- Opening Ceremony will start at 9:00am Saturday morning.
- Kids camp will be open from 11:00am - 4:00pm!
- Meet at the stage at 12:00pm for the frozen t-shirt contest!!!
- Get creative with your cardboard covered wagon for the Road to Recovery covered wagon race at 5:00pm!! There will be a race for the adults and another for just the kids!!
- Mrs. Relay will start at the 6:00pm lap!!! Who will be this years winner??!!
- Meet at the stage at 7:00pm for our Relay scavenger hunt!!!
- Luminaria ceremony will start at 9:00pm Saturday night.
- Kiwanis Club of Oxnard will be serving a pancake breakfast on Sunday from 7:00am - 8:15am!
- Closing/Fight Back ceremony will start at 8:30am Sunday morning.
