STUDENTS ENTER THE 2015 "MY FAVORITE TEACHER" CONTEST

Barnes & Noble Contest for Teens and Teachers

To participate in the, My Favorite Teacher Contest, hosted by Barnes and Noble stores, middle school students and high school students write an essay, poem, or thank-you letter explaining how a teacher has influenced their life. Then they drop it off or mail it to their local Barnes and Noble store.

Be sure to explain why you admire and appreciate your teacher. Entries must be 500 words or less, in English, and typed on 8.5'' x 11''white paper. Attach your submission to the FORM and hand it in to your school office or deliver them in person or mail to your local Barnes and Noble store in Ventura or Westlake before March 1, 2015. 



What Students Get: The students who author the winning essays, poems, or thank-you letters will receive a certificate of recognition and be honored at their local store during a ceremony for the winning teachers from their schools.

What Teachers Get: The winning teachers will be recognized at a special event at their local Barnes & Noble store and will receive a special award acknowledging their achievement and additional recognition and praise from their community. 

The five regional winners will each receive a $500 Barnes & Noble Gift Card. The winner of the "Barnes & Noble Teacher of the Year" award will receive $5,000 and will be recognized at a special event at a Barnes & Noble store. The winning teacher's school will receive $5,000 as well.
