CAMARILLO & VENTURA COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS
Yellow and blue fire engines help Ventura County firefighters stand out from the crowd, but during October, the public will be seeing a lot of a different color – pink. Ventura County firefighters, dispatchers, mechanics, hand crew members and chief officers have all been authorized to wear pink T-shirts while on duty to help raise cancer awareness.

Firefighters are more than twice as likely to contract cancer during their lifetime than a member of the public. The T-shirts bring attention to all of the lives affected by cancer, and allow us to reflect on members of our own department who were lost to cancer.

The public is invited to join in the fight against cancer. Pink fire department T-shirts can be purchased for $20 at the VCPFA office at:
Ventura County Professional Firefighters Association
3251 Corte Malpaso, Suite 501 B/C
Camarillo, CA 93010
(805) 484-8844

All proceeds will be donated to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network and the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.
