FREE CHILDRENS BOOKFEST IN CAMARILLO ON SATURDAY, NOV 1

5th Annual Childrenโ€™s Multicultural BookFest, Saturday November 2nd at the Community Center

Join the Camarillo Library at this year's 5th annual Children’s Multicultural BookFest on Saturday November 1st from 10AM to 3PM at 1605 E. Burnley St., inside the Camarillo Community Center. 

PLEASE NOTE: Macaroni Kid will not be hosting a booth at this event.


This event is geared to young children and young readers from age 0 to 8. Plus every child that attends will receive a FREE book. 

Authors featured this year are  Drew Daywalt, Tonia Allen Gould, Kari Lowe, June Sobel, Neil Steven Klayman and Illustrator Barry M. Chung.

BookFest will open at 10AM with M.C. Charmon Evans, Director University Preparation School, welcoming families along with Supervisor Kathy Long & Trustee Bob Rust. Then the Girl Scouts will be hosting "Hello Around the World." BookFest will also feature throughout the day story areas with readings in either English, Spanish or Chinese at various Story Tent's (books provided by the Camarillo Library).

  • 12:00 UPS Mexican Folkloric Dancers
  • 1:00 Polynesian Dancers
This FREE event celebrates November as Early Literacy Month and is being co-sponsored by the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood for Learning, Camarillo Public Library, PVSD, Kohl's Cares, Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District and the Girl Scouts.
