NEW BORN LEARNING TRAIL OPENS IN THOUSAND OAKS


Conejo Valley's 1st Born Learning Trail Opens Saturday Feb 26th at 10am

This Saturday Ventura County First 5 is having a grand opening and celebration for the Conejo Valley's first Born Learning Trail! The trail includes 10 fun-stop stations creating an opportunity for families with young children to engage in physical activity and learning games together. .

Come enjoy the fun at this special event! There will be prizes for the first 25 children to go through the trail, with giveaways and information throughout the morning. The trail complements the National "Let's Move Campaign", recommending that children get 60 minutes of active play each day.

The Ventura County Born Learning Trail will be a fantastic addition, open to families seven days a week, at no cost. Part of the agreement between parties includes maintenance for the next five years, so that it will be an addition that families can enjoy for years to come! An added note: all signs are in English and Spanish.  It is located on the grounds of the beautiful El Parque de Las Paz (Peace Park) which is adjacent to Crowley House which is location of Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning at  2522 Pleasant Way in Thousand Oaks.

Through the collaborative efforts of First 5 Ventura County, United Way, Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning ((NFL) and the Conejo Recreation and Parks Department, along with the support of United Way volunteers, the interactive trail will serve hundreds of local families for years to come.

Born Learning is a joint project of First 5 Ventura County and United Way.
