Food and Fun to Celebrate With the Kid's

Dr. Seuss was born March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts.  He has 44 children's books, a new one this year was just discovered and will be published later in 2015. Children throughout the years have fallen in love with his imaginative characters and tongue twisting rhymes.

Green Eggs and Ham
  1. Prepare Deviled eggs as your favorite recipe calls for but add a few drops of green food coloring to the filling.  
  2. Then fill your eggs with the green filling.
 
Colored Popcorn
  1. Pop your favorite popcorn and fill up a brown paper bag.
  2. Melt butter, corn syrup and food coloring of choice together
  3. Pour mixture over popcorn and shake around in the brown paper bag
  4. Pour popcorn out onto wax paper and let it set
The Cat in the Hat Marshmallow Pops
  • White Candy Melts
  • Red Candy Melts
  • Sucker Sticks
  • Marshmallows
  1. Melt your candy melts adding a little oil if needed to smooth it out.  
  2. Dip one end into the red and place on wax paper undipped side down to set.  
  3. Once hardened do the other side of the marshmallow leaving a white stripe of marshmallow showing.  
  4. Let dry.

 
Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes
  1. Make cupcakes as you like and use blue icing to frost.  
  2. About 15 minutes before your party or before you serve the cupcakes take blue cotton candy and place on top of the cupcakes to look like Thing 1 and 2 hair.
