Are you a runner? Looking for a race that's also for a great cause? Well look no further than the 2015 Inside Track Beachfront 5k, happening on May 24th starting at 7am at the Ventura Promenade.

The “Inside Track Beachfront 5k” on Sunday, May 24th winds runners along the beautiful Ventura Beaches sending them to the same finish line as the Marathoners and Half Marathoners in the sold out 2015 Clif Bar Mountains 2 Beach Marathon and Half. 100% of the net proceeds from the 5k goes directly to VEP.

The entry fee for the Inside Track Beachfront 5k is $45 for adults and $20 for those under 18 years. Registration ends on May 19, 2015.

RACE SIGN UP

With a beautiful oceanside start the Inside Track Beachfront 5k never loses eyesight of the beautiful Ventura Beaches as it runs along with the participants of the Half and Full Marathon before it cuts away and finishes with a 1 1/4 mile waterfront finish.

5k participants will enjoy the same finish line as the Marathoners and Half Marathoners, along with all the amenities and of course the Beachside Party afterwards. And the best thing yet…. 100% of net proceeds of the Inside Track Beachfront 5k goes directly to benefit the Ventura Education Partnership.

After the race, everyone can celebrate at the Ventura Promenade Park for the awards ceremony, music, beer garden, race day expo, and more!

The producers of the 5K, Clif Bar Mountains2Beach Marathon and Half Marathon, have once again committed a minimum of $20,000 to VEP in support of Summerfest, the free event celebrating our healthy community. The funds, along with monies raised through the 10th Annual Summerfest, will help to support healthy Ventura Unified School District activities, such as nutrition and exercise programs.

“We are happy to be able to once again support Ventura Education Partnership’s initiatives of promoting healthy and active lifestyles in our community,” stated Ben DeWitt, Mountains2Beach Race Director. “We have similar goals to Summerfest in that we encourage everyone, especially youth, to make healthy lifestyle choices.”

The full donation to VEP will be determined after the final tallies are in from the Mountains2Beach Marathon and Half Marathon and 5K. Summerfest 2015 brings children, families and the community together in a daylong event of fun, physical activities, music and healthy food. One of the day’s highlights is the 3,000 Meter Run/Walk, a friendly, low-key race encouraging youth of all ages to participate.

Further information regarding the 3,000 meter can be found at www.vendurance.com/summerfest. Ventura
