MACARONI TEENS: FREE 3RD ANNUAL 805 YOUTH EXCHANGE

At Ventura College on Saturday, October 8th Starting at 9am

Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) presents its 3rd Annual 805 Youth Exchange, “Swap What You Got: Ideas, Culture, Community,” on Saturday, October 8th from 9am to 3:30pm at Ventura Community College. All youth in the 805 area code from middle school through college aged are invited.

This event is free and includes a free breakfast and lunch.

This unique event is focused on bringing local youth together to engage in beneficial activities and to plan for brighter futures. There will be free workshops for teens to choose from and to attend.

In addition there  will also be an education pathway resource fair, where youth can plan for future educational achievement.  Surfers J.J. Ortiz and Manny Raya will be the motivating keynote speakers at this event.

The goal of this program is to infuse teens with the love for the beach and surfing, as well as expose them to a better future. Assemblyman Das Williams will also be speaking and sharing his story of overcoming adversity transiting from homelessness to surfing and public service.

Breakfast and lunch are included along with free parking, raffle prizes and live performances.
