I saw Mirror Mirror and found it fresh and new. It is the latest version of the Snow White story and takes a fun comedic adventurous twist on the story. This is not just a retelling of the classic Disney animated film. There have been many versions of the story over the years on stage, on film and in print and this version chooses to take is a combination of several versions.

It is a family friendly film with only mild violence although there is a beast in a scene near the end which might scare some young children. The movie also has a few surprises and twists for those who think they know and are tired of the Snow White story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and think you will too. I found the characters were much more developed and multi-dimensional than in previous versions.
The relationships between the characters really come to life. Julia Roberts does an amazing job of bringing the Queen to life who, though wicked and power hungry, is also quite charming. Lily Collins’ Snow White while starting out shy and naive grows into a confident adventurous leader who captures your heart. Armie Hammer brings a fun and vulnerable side to the Prince. The Dwarves are fun and mischievous rogues with great hearts. Many other veteran actors fill out the cast in supporting roles bringing the royal staff to life the keep the film fun light and engaging.
