MACARONI BABIES:A REVIEW OF NEW THE SIMILAC BOTTLE

Introducing the Similac SimplySmart Baby Bottle A Smart Design By The Experts in Infant Nutrition

The last few weeks I have been trying out a brand new bottle that I was given by Similac so I could really review this innovative bottle for Macaroni Kid families. What I discovered about this Similac SimplySmart bottle is that I really like it, and Katherine, my one-year old likes it too.

While we have passed the formula stage and now Katherine is drinking Pediasure and cows milk, we have really enjoyed owning and using the Similac SimplySmart bottle. Similac SimplySmart was designed with the feedback of moms just like me and that really shows in the design and simplicity of this product.

My favorite feature was how easy it is to clean. The bottle's material washes almost like glass while it is made out of hard plastic and is BPA free. Just rinsing with soap and water got it very clean and none of the milky substances were left, I did not even have to use a sponge to clean it.

I also really liked the bottle's cap which Similac sent me along with the bottle, this item is usally sold seperately but is one of the best features of the bottle. The Similac On-the-Go powder cap ($4.49)  just holds enough formula for one convenient feeding and fits on top of the bottle in place of the standard cap. While we did not use it to hold formula, we used it and loved it because when you lose one as I do all the time, you can easily just buy a new cap. I am the type of mom who can never find a cap for my daughters bottle and unfortunately a lot of the bottle companies make me buy a whole new bottle to get a new cap. With this bottle, the caps are sold seperately and fit perfectly. This by itself is a HUGE selling point with me.

I also tend to get a leaky bottle at times and one of the key features with the Similac bottle is that it
features SmartClose which locks out leaks, and has a blue shield that lets you knowwhen it is closed securely. I cannot tell you how many times a bottle has leaked all over my diaper bag and so I really LOVE this fantastic feature.

As to my daughter, Katherine, she really loved the bottle because of the bottle's shape. She found it easy to hold and its almost shaped like a sippy cup so it was very easy for her to hold and feed herself. She is not quite ready for a sippy cup, but is also looking for a better bottle to really get a good grip on, and this Similac bottle really works wonderfully for her.

According to the companies website, Similac SimplySmart baby bottle accommodates a variety of nipples to fit your baby's feeding needs, and is available in 4-oz and 8-oz sizes, and is BPA-free.
