Before the movie they played a short called,“Partysaurus Rex.” The short was also in Disney Digital 3D and involves the characters from Toy Story. The short features Rex (the dinosaur)being called a “party pooper” by the toys we all know and love. He is then taken to the tub for bath time, where we meet another group of toys (the bath toys). When the bath is over Rex gets the party going for the bath toys by turning the water back on. To the water toys he becomes the life of the party, much to the shock of his old friends. The short is exciting and fun and made more intense by the Disney Digital 3D effects and we loved it.

The movie, "Finding Nemo" in Disney Digital 3D is an excellent choice for conversion to this wonderful digital experience. The underwater environment featured in this movie is a natural environment for the special effects of Disney Digital 3D because it has so much depth and so many layers.

Disney Digital 3D really makes you feel like you are underwater with the characters. Several scenes became far more intense due to this effect. I especially appreciated the scene in Sydney Harbor where Nigel finds Marlon and Dory. The scene with the sharks is also greatly enhanced by the Disney Digital 3D experience.
The movie itself is familiar to many and won an Oscar for best animated feature in 2003. This updated version introduces a whole new generation to the overprotective clownfish Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks) and the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) as they embark on a dangerous and stunning underwater trek to find Marlin’s young son Nemo (voiced by Alexander Gould).

We already knew we liked the movie from the video but the experience was so much better in Disney Digital 3D. If you liked the original, then you will love this updated version. I highly recommend you take the kids to see it.
