Tall Ships, Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington will sail into Ventura Harbor on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 and remain through Monday, February 11, 2013. Don't miss all the boat tours, sailings and Civil War Military Camp fun being planned.
The historical vessels will dock in front of Brophy Brothers Restaurant & Clam Bar and Milano’s Italian Restaurant in the Ventura Harbor Village. Coinciding with the first weekend of the Tall Ship visit, the First Company Washington Artillery of New Orleans will build a replica Civil War Military Camp circa 1861 – 1865, Saturday and Sunday February 2nd-3rd.

The three-hour Battle Sails feature booming cannons, close-quarters maneuvers, and a taste of 18th century maritime life aboard tall ships. A ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are $60.00, Seniors (62+)/students/Military are $50.00and Child 12/under are $40.00. Groups of 8 or more automatically receive a 15% per ticket discount when they buy online HERE.

DOCKSIDE TOURS
Open to the public from January 30, the Dockside Tours will take place each weekday (except Mondays for training) from 4pm to 5pm and Saturday (2 ships) and Sunday (1 ship) from 10am to 1pm. Dockside tours allow a look into authentic 18th-century sailor’s view of the Harbor and surroundings. Dockside tours are $3 pp.

On Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3 the First Company Washington Artillery of New Orleans makes a reappearance complete with living history replica military camp from 1861 - 1865 including tents, musket and pistol demonstrations, cannons, an antique gun display, and live music by Watermelon Pie on the Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn.
The soldiers dressed in period uniforms engage the Tall Ships by shooting Cannons as the Tall Ships depart for Battle or Adventure Sails. Visitors can interact and talk with the reenactors and learn more about this time in history. Cannon and pistol demonstrations throughout the day from 10am to 5:30pm. This event is open to the public and includes a President Abraham Lincoln impersonator wandering through the camp.
