Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County (BBSVC) is getting ready to celebrate National Mentoring Month for January 2015.
The National Mentoring Month campaign will acknowledge the stories of four successful mentoring relationships in Ventura County: how the “Bigs” (adult mentors) made a positive impact in the lives of their four Ventura County “Littles," at-risk youth served in the BBSVC programs.

The BBSVC webpage specifically dedicated to National Mentoring Month (www.bbsvc.org/January) will unlock one new Match Story each week starting on January 5th, with recipients of the BBSVC Big Newsletter being the first to receive each story early.
The final item to be unlocked will be a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT by BBSVC – a major search driven by BBSVC that will have a nation-wide impact.
In addition to spotlighting local match stories, current matches, and community supporters, BBSVC will also be hosting contest giveaways with exclusive prizes to encourage the community to spread the word about the need for mentors in Ventura County. One major prize for three lucky winners is ONE YEAR of free water delivery by Central Coast Water (a value of $275 per prize).
Community members can visit www.bbsvc.org/January and follow BBSVC on facebook.com/bbsvc for National Mentoring Month updates, coverage, and contests.
