The Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program is an annual summer reading program that gives children in grades 1st thru 6th the ability to earn a FREE book after reading 8 books while keeping track of them in a READING JOURNAL that they turn in at the local stores in Ventura and Thousand Oaks from July 1 thru August 31st, 2020.

This year marks the 24th annual Summer Reading Program, where students can earn a free book. The Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program is designed to reinforce learning and motivate students to continue reading throughout the summer. Each month, we’ll be featuring different genres to inspire students to expand their reading horizons.
How It Works:
STEP 1: Read any eight books this summer and record them in this Summer Reading Journal Form. In the journal describe what part of the book is your favorite, and why.
STEP 2: After reading eight books, bring your completed journal into your local Barnes and Noble store in Ventura and Thousand Oaks between August 1st and August 31st, 2020.
STEP 3: Choose your FREE reading adventure book from the book list featured in the journal.
