This week, on Wednesday, May 13th from 3pm to 7pm, the Pleasant Valley Certified Farmers’ Market & Crafter’s Corner, a partnership between the Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association (VCCFMA) and the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District (PVRPD) will re-open for their second season at the Camarillo Community Center Park, 1605 E. Burnley Street.
Approximately 25 farmers participate to bring fresh, field ripened fruits and vegetables from California in addition to herbs, honey, eggs, jams, jellies, cut flowers and potted plants. Shoppers can also find artisan bakeries, beef ranchers and local fisherman, plus specialty ethnic foods and hot cooked foods, providing complete meal choices for families. SNAP/Cal-Fresh/EBT customers are welcome and redemptions will be authorized at the Market Information Booth.
In addition to the fresh farm offerings, the market also features artisan craft vendors who are rotated weekly along with rotating food trucks, adding to the experience.
Movies in the park after the Farmers Market will begin on June 17 and continue through the summer. Here is the movie schedule:
