Macaroni Kid Reviews Batman Movie Days at LEGOLAND

By Reviewed By Harold Rosenthal February 20, 2017

Last weekend began LEGOLAND's , The LEGO® Batman Movie Days and we got to check out the fun at the event. There is just one more weekend of Batman Movie Days on February 25-26.

At Batman Movie Days we had a blast and kids (ages 12, 9 and 5) LOVED  meeting the LEGO caped crusader during this celebration of the Warner Bros. Pictures' feature film, which also includes photo opportunities with theLEGO Batman character, a themed scavenger hunt, LEGO Batman-inspired LEGO build activities like building life-size LEGO characters, and creating a Batman Mosaic.

These activities were a lot of fun and really enhanced our LEGOLAND experience.  Upon arriving at the park, we were given Batman Masks and a scavenger hunt form. Our favorite activities were the Mystery Mosaic LEGO Build and the Miniland Scavenger Hunt.

For the Mosaic, we were given a painted tile to populate with LEGOs.  Once we completed that we gave the tile to a staff member to add to the large mosaic.  At the end of the day we came back to see it had formed a picture of Batman, Robin and Bat Girl.

In the scavenger hunt we were given clues so we could find villains hidden in Miniland holding letters which we then unscrambled to figure out a hidden word.  Completing that entered you into a drawing for a LEGO batman kit.

We also enjoyed the other LEGO Batman Movie activities including helping build a life size Batman out of LEGOs and the LEGO Batman meet and greet.

Of course, the rest of the day in LEGOLAND was also fun.  My five-year-old is a big fan of LEGO Friends so she enjoyed Heartlake City and especially the LEGO friends show followed by the meet and greet.  She also really enjoyed The Hideaways which is a huge play structure with climbing ropes, slides and othe fun obstacles.

My nine-year-old loves the faster rides including Aqua Zone and Captain Crankys Challenge.  My oldest daughter’s favorite ride is the NINJAGO ride.  Of course, due to the weather and time of year the splash pads and water rides were not an option.

We broke up the day by eating at our favorite dining place in the park, the all you can eat Pizza and Pasta Buffet.  There are many other good dining options this one just happens to be our favorite.  We also got snacks along the way and some of the cart vendors.  The churros Con Chocolate were wonderful.

Finally, we ended the day by going to the Sea Life Aquarium, which is also wonderful experience.  The kids love the scavenger hunt and seeing all the sea life.  They love the areas where you can stick your head into a bubble in the middle of the tank, build a LEGO sand castle and even handle some sea life.  There is even a mini slide to play on in the beginning.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day at LEGOLAND and the LEGO Batman Movie Days event made it even more fun.  We highly recommend making the trip and attending. Next weekend is the last chance to enjoy Batman Movie Days, February 25 and 26.

The LEGO Batman Movie Days activities are included in the price of admission to LEGOLAND California Resort.
