From décor to artwork, to mermaid fashions, pottery and gifts, Mermaid Month at Ventura Harbor Village is packed with the joys of being a mermaid at heart!
In March 2019 visit with mermaids, make mermaid crafts and participate in a Mermaid Parade, these are just some of the Mermaid activities planned. In addition for adults monthly sales and Mermaid merchandise are available at Harbor Village boutiques as well as seaside themed cocktails at waterfront restaurants.
MERMAID MEET N GREETS
Take a free photo with a live mermaid! The Mermaid Meet & Greets will be (weather pending):
- Saturday, March 23 | 1pm to 4pm
- Saturday, March 30 | 1pm to 4pm
Special craft stations will be available at each of the Meet & Greets as well as live entertainment at Harbor Village.
LIVE DEMOS
- Ventura Potters Guild Gallery, live ceramist demonstration Saturday, March 23, 12-5pm with artist Hannah Lee Fench
- Artist Tina O’Brien of Mermaid Gallery free Saturday Art Demos during mermaid scheduled Meet & Greets, 1-4pm on Saturdays March 23 & 30.
JOIN THE MERMAID PARADE ON MARCH 23
Join in the fun! Mermaid attire is encouraged all month long and especially on March 23rd for the Mermaid Parade! Dress up in your sea-themed or mermaid attire and join in our participatory people’s parade. The annual Mermaid/Merman Parade around the Village on Saturday, March 23 at 1 PM. Meet at the Channel Islands Courtyard (near Hats Unlimited & Lost in Socks).
OTHER ACTIVITIES
- Each Wednesday in March make a mermaid inspired sea glass necklace in store at Barefoot Boutique
- Mermaid Gallery Kids coloring activity table on weekends from 1-4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

- Dress up as a Mermaid or Merman and get 15 minutes Over Time on any rental at Ventura Boat Rentals
- On March 23rd The Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood will have free Belly Dancing Lessons from 1-4pm
- Take a Harbor Tour with Ventura Boat Rentals on March 30th at noon! $6 kids to $12 adults
