Reading is FUN-damental! The Ventura County Fair invites students to earn free carnival rides through our reading program, “Read & Ride” for local kindergarten through 8th grade students.
The Ventura County Fair invites students to earn free carnival rides through our reading program, “Read & Ride” for local kindergarten through 8th grade students. Students are encouraged to read books to earn carnival ride passes for the 2019 Fair, which will be held July 31st – August 11th at the Ventura County Fairgrounds
Students are encouraged to read books to earn carnival ride passes for the 2019 Ventura County Fair. Students earn three ride tickets for two books read or a maximum of six ride tickets for four books read by Ventura County students at this years fair .
Students are asked to write a brief summary, approximately 25 words, of the books they read. Children age six and under are welcome to draw a picture to illustrate the books’ content. Books must be approved by individual teachers to qualify.

- The submission deadline is July 1, 2019
- Tickets will be mailed at the end of July (please use students home address for mailing).
