Macaroni Kid Reviews "Leap!" The Movie

A Fun Movie With a Great Message

By Sponsored Review Content August 27, 2017

Last week Macaroni Kid was invited by The Moms to check out the animated Film 'Leap!'  at The Grove in Los Angelesand we had a blast.

The event included the red carpet where the stars of the movie attended a screening of the movie and in the lobby of the the theatre were some fun activities for the kids where we decorated cupcakes and made some cute notebooks for back to school.

The plot of the movie follows aspiring dancer and 11-year-old orphan, Félicie (Elle Fanning) who has one dream - to go to Paris and become a dancer. The year is 1879 and her best friend Victor (Nat Wolff), is her imaginative but exhausting friend with a passion for creating, and who has a dream of his own - to become a famous inventor. In a leap of faith, Victor and Félicie leave their orphanage in pursuit of their passions. But - there's a catch, Félicie must pretend to be the child of a wealthy family in order to gain admittance to the prestigious and competitive Opera Ballet School in Paris. And with no professional dance training, she quickly learns that talent alone is not enough to overcome the ruthless, conniving attitudes of her fellow classmates, led by the devious Camille Le Haut (Maddie Ziegler) and her wicked mother Régine (Kate McKinnon). Determined to succeed, Félicie finds her mentor in the tough and mysterious school custodian, Odette (Carly Rae Jepsen) who, along with Victor's encouraging friendship, help her reach for the stars.

The movie was fantastic and we really enjoyed it. The adults loved it as much as my youngest who is 6 years old. The movie has a great message that whether it is 1879 or 2017 everyone should make a leap and follow their dreams. The movie is rated PG and is 89 minutes long.
