Have you heard the best news? Holiday Road is open and ready for show. Holiday Road is the ultimate holiday experience. You will be in awe with some larger-than-life holiday displays, thousands of lights, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Elves, countless candy canes and all of your favorite holiday cheer! If you love to take fun pictures and videos, if you are looking for an event for all ages this is the event for you!! My family visited the event on opening weekend and it was so fun for all of us. Our 5-year-old kept screaming that he was in a magical place and my husband and I felt the same way! We met with friends there and we all agreed that this event is equally fun for kids and adults (hint: spiked hot apple cider).

We planned to get to the event an hour earlier than our scheduled ticket so we had enough time to take pictures, eat at the food trucks and grab a hot drink. The parking is so easy, they have plenty of space and staff leading the cars to a spot. The check in progress was very smooth. We showed our QR code and that's it. (Keep in mind there is a parking fee of $10.)
Our family spent around 2.5 hours onsite. These are some of our favorite aspects of Holiday Road:
- Photos: Take advantage of all the photo opps at the entrance. My hubby loved the mistletoe one, so romantic!
- The food: YUMMY, so many options. We had wings and our boy enjoyed the pizza. They also have lots of delicious dessert options.
- The drinks: We met a couple of families while taking pictures and everyone recommended that we try the Hot Apple Cider. We ordered the "adult" version and it was delicious. They offer a fun holiday cocktail menu and many other drinks including delicious hot chocolate.
- Let's talk LIGHTS! WOW - the lights are really magical. My favorite display was this giant Christmas Tree that changes colors. Our boy loved the tunnels - so impressive.
- SNOW: yes, snow!! I don't want to tell much because it was such a fun surprise!

Overall, we loved this beautiful interactive event. It warmed my heart to see our boy so happy, but we had a lot of fun ourselves. I felt I disconnected from all the holiday stress and had great quality time with my family. Be prepared to spend 1-3 hrs. on site depending on how many activities you want to do.
Some things to remember:
- Wear warm attire, everything is outdoors.
- There are so many great photo opportunities, I regret not dressing more festive (Think Santa hats, elf ears, etc.) for cool holiday photos.
- The trail is self-guided.
- There will also be a Holiday Bar for adults! The grown-ups can enjoy a festive cocktail to jumpstart their holiday spirit, wine to help them unwind, or craft beer to keep up the holiday cheer.
- There is a bathroom and bar in the middle of the trail in case you need to stop by.
