1. Visit a playground
Oxnard: Oxnard Beach Park - we love this park, is right on the beach, big play structure, lots green space to play all kind of games.
Camarillo: Mel Vincent Park - beach volleyball field aka " sand pit for little ones", play structures for all ages and more
Ventura - Arroyo Verde Park - Hikes trail, lots of green space, bbq, play structure, perfect park for play dates

2. Spend the day at the beach
You can't go wrong with a visit to one of Ventura or Oxnard beaches to go swimming, build a sandcastle or just go for a walk. And it's completely FREE!
Our favorite one is Harbor Cove/Mother Beach in Ventura.
3. Go to The Collection Kid Club (August 3)

4. Go to the TBT Food Truck Event at the Camarillo Ranch
Go and check the Kid Zone with free crafts and fun for kids.
5. Enjoy live music in our local free concerts

6. Visit the Ventura Botanical Garden
These gardens are free to visit, and spread out along a walking trail that leads uphill, with fine ocean vistas, lookout points and benches to sit and enjoy. The garden plantings are constantly being expanded. Bring your dog. There’s free parking behind City Hall. Sturdy shoes are useful here. Location: 398 Ferro Drive, Ventura (at Grant Park). 7. Go on a mural hunt in town
Is so fun to go to different parts of our town and find cool mural.

8. Kids bowl for free

9. Get wet at the Janss Splash Pad

10. Dallas Cowboy Practice
America's Team will return to Oxnard in 2022 to open their 63rd training camp, and many practices will be open to the public, giving visitors, residents and guests the opportunity to see their favorite players and coaches as they step away from The Star in Frisco, TX to train for the upcoming NFL season.
- General Parking is available at the following rates: Weekday: $10 cars/trucks; $20 oversized vehicles; Weekend: $20 cars/trucks; $30 oversized vehicles. Parking is limited. We recommend carpooling when possible.
- No need to purchase Dallas Cowboys tickets! Admission to camp is FREE! Activities including autograph opportunities and field access will be available this year.

11. Check our local library
Head to any one of our Ventura County library branches to find oodles of books to keep you and your kids entertained this summer. There are also regular events held at the branches, from storytimes to Makers Event.
12. Visit the Ventura Harbor
Known as California’s Seaside Playground, Ventura Harbor Village is a must-see for families! The gateway to the Channel Islands National Park and Marine Sanctuary, the village offers fun harbor and water activities, bakery, ice cream and more than a dozen ethnic eateries and boutique shopping, making it a top destination for all ages.
