MACARONI KID CHECKS OUT CONCERTS AT THE GREEK THEATRE

A Fun Venue In Los Angeles to Catch a Concert At

A few weeks ago, Macaroni Kid attended a concert at the Los Angeles Greek Theatre and we really loved the whole experience.

The Greek Theatre is one of the most storied live venues in Southern California.  Located in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, it is hard to believe you are still in the middle of a large city when you are there.  It is a beautiful theater surrounded by mountains and trees.

It is also small enough to really feel close to the performers even when sitting in the upper seats.  The acoustics are absolutely amazing and you can hear the performers no matter where you are sitting.  There are two large screens on either side of the stage for even better viewing.  Plus before the show and during intermission, there are food and drink vendors and beautiful lawns where you can have a picnic.

I first heard of the Greek as a kid listening to Neil Diamond albums which had been recorded there.  Then in my 20’s I got to experience it for the first time. Decades later and it is still the same magical place I remember from my youth.  Large enough to generate excitement but small enough to feel close to the performers.  It is by far my favorite venue in Southern California.

If you spend extra for a suite, you get to experience "The Redwoods", a private hospitality suite with both indoor and outdoor areas.  They serve complimentary, beer, wine, sodas, water, coffee and appetizers.  It has a separate entrance away from the normal entrance and is open before the show, at intermission and after the show.

Some of the fun concerts coming this fall to The Greek Theatre are:
  • September 6: YES / TOTO plus special guest Patrick Sieben
  • KIDS EVENT - October 24: EEK! At The Greek! featuring Symphony in the Glen – Arthur B. Rubinstein, Music Director
