CAMARILLO YMCA HOSTS SUMMER CAMPS {Camarillo}

Adventure, Active Camps for Your Kids and Teens - Updated 4/6/2016

May 24, 2010
At the Y, we believe all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Y Summer Day Camps provide children and teens with supervised activities that cultivate values, develop skills, and nurture relationships. Give your kids the chance to have fun, improve their health, learn new things and reach their potential.

This year Camarillo Y Summer Camps will be held at both the YMCA Hiji Center and Pleasant Valley School of Engineering and Arts (P.V.S.E.A) located at 1099 Bedford Dr Camarillo, CA 93010.

With so much free time during the summer months, ensuring that kids practice healthy habits could be a greater challenge. The Y encourages parents to help their kids unplug from technology and explore all the YMCA camps have to offer from June 13 to August 19.

FIVE REASONS KIDS & TEENS NEED A YMCA SUMMER CAMP:

ADVENTURE: Summer camp is all about a wide variety of fun adventures and new experiences, and especially exploring the outdoors. YMCA camps have a new adventure for every child and teen.

HEALTHY FUN: Day and resident camps offer fun, stimulating activities that engage the body and mind, and also help children and teens learn the importance of nutrition to help improve their eating habits.

PERSONAL GROWTH: While being away from the routine back home, youth have a chance to learn new skills, and develop confidence and independence by taking on new responsibilities and challenges.

NEW FRIENDSHIPS: Amidst the fun of camp games, songs, swimming, and talent shows, campers meet new friends and strengthen existing friendships.

MEMORIES: Summer camp is an unforgettable experience that will give each camper memories that will last a lifetime. Youth return to school with plenty of camp stories to share.

The Camarillo Family YMCA offers camps ranging from traditional camp, splash camp, and dance camp to specialty camps with topics about art, sports, nature, and engineering. And, to ensure that all youth have the chance to experience camp, the Camarillo Y offers financial assistance to those in need.

What Parents are Saying:
 "All of the staff have been so caring and wonderful with my daughter. Once again her camp memories are exactly what I had hoped for. The piece of mind I had each day bringing her to camp was priceless. The Y will always be my first choice for summer day care! See you all next summer!"

"The camp counselors are fabulous, caring, supportive, and hard working. They put forth extra efforts to communicate and are role models to the kids. They always show that they really care about them. Thanks so much for a great summer!"
