A few weeks ago I was contact by a company down in Orange County called Blue Sky Home Series that makes calendars, dated planners and various organizers for moms, teachers, kids and teens. With back-to-school just around the corner, I thought this might be items we can really use in the 2012-2013 school year.

THE BLUE SKY HOME SERIES
The items arrived last week and I was pretty impressed. The designs are very cute and pretty. While they feature girls colors and boys colors, I really think the products are more for females as even the boys colors feature leaves and flowers.
The designs use Susy Jack Contemporary Papers and I really liked the designs they sent me. The paper seems to be high quality and extremely stylish. My daughter who saw me open the products was excited to start using the calendar right away.
THE PRODUCTS I RECEIVED ARE:
The Monthly Stapled Planner from July 2012 to June 2013. This item is perfect for students and teachers as it covers the entire school year. It includes a quick reference section for emergency contacts and friends and family information. Plus it has a page with a yearly overview, and each month has a monthly calendar with a notes section. In the very back are pages for notes. It also features a plastic cover over the front and back of the planner.
The Wire-O-Month Wall Calendar from July 2012 to June 2013. This item is also perfect for parents, kids and teachers as it starts in July before school starts and goes to June 30, 2013. It is calendar sheets attached by a spiral bound wire that has a hook made out of the wire bound. It is very stylish and very light weight so its perfect to hang in an office, on a locker, or in the kitchen. After each month is over, just rip the sheet off and throw away. This product comes in two sizes 15"x12" or 11"x8.5". I received the smaller sample for this review.
The Weekly/Monthly Planner from July 2012 to June 2013. This planner comes with tabbed monthly calendars that feature vertical weekly calendars and has pages for quick reference info in the front and the back has tabs for essential info, like doctors, contacts, and even a grocery checklist, plus the planner also has a tabbed section for notes. I really liked the cover of the planner because it has a durable hard plastic cover. The planner is wire bound and includes a laminated first page and last page to protect the other pages and the yearly overview. Each month has its own tab and its laminated so it does not bend, this makes it durable and easy to pick the month you need fast. One page in each month is for the calendar and the page next to the month has a section for things to do, calls to make and things to buy. Then subsequent pages are week by week and include a notes section. This planner was my absolute favorite. It comes in two sizes 10"x8" and 8"x6".
The Grocery Checklist is a 5x7 magnetic notepad that you can stick on the fridge, so that when you run out of something, just write it down in its section. Using colors it is very easy to see what you need in the following categories: Fruits and Vegetables, Dairy products, Meat/Fish/Poultry, Bread/Pasta/Cereal, Beverages, Frozen Foods, Household Products and Other Stuff.

What I liked about this line of calendars was that the company combines monthly, weekly and overview calendars with sections for notes and references so I can make long terms plans, schedule each day and remember important details that I might otherwise forget.
In addition according to Blue Sky, all their products are printed printed with soy-based ink on 50% PCW recycled paper.
