The outdoor event will feature fine arts and crafts, street chalk art, and music throughout both days.

Several experienced street chalk artists from throughout Southern California will be participating in the event including Lysa Ashley, an artist and teacher from the Inland Empire, who returns this year after participating in the “Chalk for Charity” debut last year. She has been a street painter for more than sixteen years, participating in festivals, fundraisers, and corporate events both nationally and internationally. Ashley has received numerous awards for her work, including People’s Choice and Best of Show awards. Her work can be previewed on her website, www.chalkgirl.net.
In addition, Newbury Park artist, Ora Tamir, has been selected as the Feature Artist of “Arts in the Park” this year. Tamir has been painting since childhood and regularly exhibits her work at festivals in California, Arizona and Nevada. Her paintings captivate viewers with their surreal images and futuristic qualities.
