KINDERMUSIK WITH KATIE

Kindermusik with Katie has some really fun, musical classes for your child from age 0 and up. Kindermusik is not just for little kids either, this Fall Kindermusik with Katie, run by owner Katie Shinden, will be launching a Simply Music class for kids 7 and up in Ventura, where kids can learn the piano and keyboard. In addition she will also be starting a Young Child Introduction to Piano in Camarillo.

FREE DEMO CLASSES
If you have been wanting to find some fun, music classes your child, signup for free demo classes on September 7th of two of her most popular classes in Camarillo. While they are free you do need to preregister. OUR TIME a fun class for Toddlers (1.5-3yrs) with parent/caregiver and will run from from 10:30am-11:15am and then the popular VILLAGE class for babies (3-18 months) will run from 11:30am-12:15pm. YOUNG CHILD INTRODUCTION TO PIANO
The Young Child Introduction to Piano class is a drop off class and has been designed especially for kids age 4 1/2 to 7. It is a semester class and the first semester starts on September 6th in Camarillo and Ventura. If you have a young child who has been wanting to learn how to play the Piano, then this is the class for you.

Using a small-group approach to music education, Kindermusik with Katie's "Young Child Introduction to Piano" provides a pressure-free class where your child can develop a strong musical foundation by learning the concepts, language, notation, and vocabulary of music and its greatest composers.

In this class your child will learn how to vocalize and sing, move and dance expressively, listen actively, play instruments like the pre-keyboard, string and woodwind instruments and learn specific note names, rhythms, melodies, and participate in ensembles. In addition they will lean some great musical concepts like musical structure and the expressive qualities of music.

It is a four-semester program and the first semester runs from September 6th thru December 11th. According to Katie, "Everything your child learns later in semesters 2, 3, and 4 begins with this early introduction to singing, reading, and writing music and rhythm. Through dances and games that focus on rhythmic development, kids will learn a keyboard instrument - the Glockenspiel, which will be used throughout all the Young Child classes."

The first semester costs $156 for the 12 week program, plus $75 for the home materials. The home materials include a Glockenspiel, stickers and home activities. The class is Wednesdays in Camarillo at 3:30pm at the Camarillo Community Center and are also in Ventura on Monday or Thursdays at 3:00pm.

SIMPLY MUSIC CLASSES FOR KIDS 7+
In addition Kindermusik with Katie is starting a Simply Music class for kids age 7+ who would like to learn the Piano and Keyboard. This class is only available in Ventura (Poinsettia Pavilion, Room 104 at 3451 Foothill Road) on Wednesdays at 3:30pm and on September 5th at 3:30pm, your child can check it out in a free introductory class. This class will also run for 12 weeks from September 12th to December 12th. The class costs $120 per month.

Simply Music, according to Katie, "Is a revolutionary piano and keyboard method that has beginning students children, teens, adults and seniors playing great-sounding contemporary, blues, classical and accompaniment pieces immediately from their very first lessons." It also employs an entirely new and unique “learn-by-doing” approach that can be easily understood by students of all ages, and focuses on the sheer fun of playing and produces immediate results.
