For this event we left the kids at grandmas and had a fun night out with some zombies, ghosts, clowns goblins, witches and even the walking dead. The event was a lot of fun and half the fun was walking around Universal Studios and having the various zombies and witches try to scare us.

The park has most of their normal rides open and also has some fun Halloween shows and mazes throughout the park. I think the highlight of our night was the “Terror Tram: Invaded by The Walking Dead” featuring hordes of roving, flesh-eating zombie “walkers.”

Essentially you hop on a tram and it takes you to the Bates Motel, you hop out and walk among the walking dead and the Bates Motel. Along the way are dead people or people who have just killed dead people. You do walk the whole way and part of the walk is up a hill, so I would not recommend it for those who aren't steady on their feet.

After visiting the Bates Motel, you walk to the Psycho House and then through the crashed plane set. It was very fun and we totally loved being able to see these sets up close and personal, in the dark with the walking dead.

THE MAZES

However, be warned that a lot of these mazes do have wait times of 60 minutes. You can bypass the wait with Front of the Line passes. But if you do not want to pay the extra money, its important that you are prepared to wait in line.
“Universal Monsters Remix,” was one of our favorites because it moves very fast and so it had only a 10 minute wait time. You walk up and down hallways and up and down stairs and it like going through a long haunted house, but it is a lot of fun. I think its on the tame side aside from the gore and dead bodies.
