This weekend on November 9 and 10 the Rotary Club of Moorpark will host the 13th annual reenactment, "The Blue & The Gray"; the largest Civil War Battle Reenactment West of the Mississippi.

The event is staged at Tierra Rejada Family Farm, at 3370 Sunset Valley Rd, Moorpark, CA.  Gates open at 10:00 a.m. both days, with three battles on Saturday (12, 3 & 5:15 p.m.) and two on Sunday (12 & 2:30 p.m.).

The battles reenacted this year are as follows: South Mountain, the Prelude The Cornfield Twilight Battle TBA The Bloody Lane Burnside's Assault

While the battles are spectacular, you can make a real day of it by visiting the Union and Confederate encampments, taking pictures, visiting the sutler tents (the general stores of the Civil War), learning how to dance like they did in the day, and generally observing life as it was during the Civil War.

The entry fee is $17 per person for adults and $12 for students or you may purchase tickets online to save $2 HERE. In addition if you would like to purchase bleacher seats for any of the battles, they are $3 per seat.
