This holiday season Jim Henson sent me a really fun Dinosaur Train holiday book, Dinosaur Train: Ride the Holiday Train Lift-The-Flap Board Book and a Dinosaur Train A to Z DVD to check out with the kids.

The Dinosaur Train: Ride the Holiday Train Lift-The-Flap Board Book, from Reader’s Digest Children’s Publishing was a HUGE hit. The second the kids saw the book they were so excited to start reading it. My seven-year old did a fantastic job reading it to me and my five-year old and both kids had a great time lifting all the many flaps ( we are talking over 45 flaps in the entire book) on each page of this book.
We found it fun, easy to read and a great choice for a holiday story.

DINOSAUR TRAIN™: DINOSAURS A TO Z DVD – Featuring Bonus Holiday Episode
Travel on the Dinosaur Train with Buddy, Mom, and Tiny to gather all the dinosaurs in the "Dinosaurs A to Z'" song for a picnic at Troodon Town in this fun family video that is 110 minutes and rated G. This video was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast watching the different episodes.
The DVD follows the Pteranodon family as they reunite with some dinosaurs they've met before, and are introduced to new species, and learn about the classification of all 26 dinosaurs on the train.

Also included in this video is a bonus Holiday Episode: Solstice Time . Which is about the Pteranodon family who are visiting the North Pole, the Conductor suggests that the family stop off at Aurora Borealis Station on an enormous frozen lake to see the Aurora Borealis, where the Northern Troodons celebrate a "Festival of Lights." While the kids wait for night to fall and view the Aurora Borealis, they work up an ice-skating show to entertain Mom and Dad. Everyone joins in to sing "Solstice Time is Here" and skate under the lights! 

This was a fun video that my kids had a blast watching. Plus we loved the bonus Holiday eopisode because it was fun and very festive.
