The program is available on a drop-in basis and is available at various schools, clubs and centers throughout Ventura County. The program provides free lunches for kids 1-18, no matter what their families financial situation is.
Ventura Unified’s program, which started June 11 and runs through August 2nd provides free lunches during the summer for children 18 and younger. There are no income eligibility requirements. The goal behind this program is that many of the children receive free lunches at their schools campuses during the school year, so the goal is to keep them eating well during the summer, too.
