In “Frozen,” fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) in a race to battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom and find Anna’s sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

We saw Frozen and fell in love with the characters and the story. We thought it was such an amazing movie that the kids are very excited to go see it again.  I love Disney movies and in my opinion this was of the best I have ever seen.

It is a heartwarming story of sisterly love and loyalty proving that unselfish true acts of love can accomplish miracles.  It shows how being overprotective of the ones we love can sometimes hurt them more but the joy of expressing your love far outweighs the risks of being hurt or hurting others.

The animation in Frozen was spectacular. We were especially impressed by the 3-D ice effects.  The Ice Castle created by Elsa was breathtakingly beautiful and my 8 year-old’s favorite part of the movie.  My 6 year old loved the early part of the film when the girls were young and built Olaf the snowman for the very first time.

The movie takes you through a wide range of emotions before the expected heartwarming happy ending and you will love the journey getting there.  We found the characters easy to connect with in their adventures.  Our favorite character was Olaf  as he is cute and entertaining, adding humor to every scene.

Before the movie they showed an incredible short entitled “Get a Horse.”  At first it appears to be a vintage Mickey Mouse cartoon form the Steamboat Willie era.  That is until Mickey gets knocked “through” the screen into a modern color 3-D version of himself.   Then the characters go back and forth between the two as Mickey battles to save Minnie from Peg Leg Pete.

We thoroughly enjoyed Frozen and highly recommend taking the family to see it.
