What are your kids doing this summer? One of the best summer programs your kid's can sign up for are the summer camps hosted by the Ventura Family YMCA for kids entering Kindergarten to 8th grade and a sleep away camp for kids in 4th-12th grade.
Each camp has been designed with activities and field trips are designed to keep your child’s mind and body active while nurturing the Y’s core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

DAY CAMPS
Rainbow Camp (K-1st graders)
Ventura Y Summer Day Camp (Grades K-6th Grade)
Summer Day Camp creates an environment where kids can be themselves, explore exciting new things, cultivate friendships and create lasting memories. They spend their days swimming, playing sports, learning positive character development, doing arts and crafts and going on field trips.
- Runs Monday to Friday from June 23 - August 22 from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- At Rio Del Mar Elementary School, 3150 Thames River Dr, Oxnard
- $145 a week
A full-day, fun-filled program where children make new friends, develop healthy eating habits, get plenty of physical activity and learn new things through play in preparation for school in the fall. They’ll explore their world in small groups through age and developmentally, appropriate activities.

Voyager Camp (Grades 2nd-5th)
Summer is an important time in your child’s life. It’s an opportunity to continue fun learning experiences until school starts again. Voyager Camps provide fun, safe, all-day enrichment. Enjoy days of games, crafts, sports, field trips, friends and lasting memories. Dedicated YMCA staff engage day campers in activities that help youth learn, grow and develop character.

Adventure Camp (Grades 5th-8th Grade)
Adventure Camp provides trained and experienced staff and a structured and interactive program. Days will be filled with fun and exciting day trips, so teens won’t feel like they are in a day camp but that they are hanging out with friends in a supportive and challenging environment.
- Monday thru Friday from June 16 - August 15 from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

SPECIALTY CAMPS
Swim or learn a new sport! By participating in specialty Y camps, kids have the opportunity to make friends, have fun, get active and discover what they can achieve. Activities give your child the opportunity to become a confident kid today and a healthier, happier grown-up tomorrow.
Splash Camp (For 2nd to 5th Graders)
During this wet week of camp, students will be part of swim lessons tailored to their ability, as well as other water games and activities at the Y! This week is sure to keep them cooled off and busy.

- HOURS: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Sleep Away Camp (For 4th-12th graders)
Over 900 acres of forest surrounded by Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks make YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake the perfect location to explore the great outdoors, develop confidence and make memories that will last a lifetime. YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake activities include: sailing, high and low ropes course, mountain biking, rock climbing, archery, swimming, outpost camping, fishing, visit to the National Park, painting, crafts, soccer, basketball, campfires, canoeing, hiking, creek walks, field games, skits, songs, chapels, and personal leadership and development. Campers will share cabins with friends and meet new cabin mates from other Y's, providing an opportunity for your child to create new and lasting memories with campers from all over California. YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake creates an environment that encourages heartfelt laughter, interactive learning and personal growth.

SPORTS CAMPS
Sports camps are a great place for your active camper. Each day, campers will learn new skills, freshen up their existing talents and learn how to be a team player! Whether campers are just starting out or are all-stars, this is the place for them. Campers will work on skills based on their level of ability.

Sports of all Sorts Camp
Campers who just love sports, will get to dabble in several during this week. Campers will learn the basics of soccer, basketball, football, baseball and more.

Lil’ Slugger Camp
Whether your camper is swinging for the fences or learning to throw, this camp will help develop fundamentals. Come out for daily drills and games, and walk away with a love for this team sport.

Hoops Camp
This camp is designed for the fast-paced and motivated camper. Campers will refine their skills with daily drills and team scrimmages.

Soccer Camp
If campers are quick on their feet and love to play, this camp is for them! No matter the camper’s skill-set, daily drills and scrimmages will either teach a camper the sport or improve their skills, while learning how to work together.
