I received the VICKS Mini Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier around Christmas time and I couldn't wait to check it out. I have not found a unit I liked since my last humidifier's tank broke a few years ago, so I couldn't wait to get it set up.
I quickly unpacked it from the box and read the instructions and got it all filled up with water. I LOVE the water tank in this machine. Why? Because it's small enough to fit easily under the tap in my bathroom. I really like how easy it is to unscrew and refill.
A cool feature of this machine is that it comes with a special compartment and sample of the VICKS VapoPads, which if you use blow out a cool mist of soothing scents. You can purchase either Menthol or Rosemary/Lavender and they provide soothing scents for a better night’s sleep.
The easy control knob lets you set how much mist you want, you can full blast it like me or put it on the lowest setting or go midway.
This unit sure does mist. The kids loved it because it's a cool mist and they loved sticking their hands in it, I love how good it feels and how it makes me feel less stuffed up the next morning when I wake up.
TIP: Make sure it's on a flat surface because when I stuck it on a towel it stopped misting. It needs to be on a flat surface.
As to cleaning it, cleaning it is fairly easy, you just used white vinegar to rinse it out and you can even use an Antimicrobial Cleaning Cartridge to reduce on the cleanup. In addition one of the features of this mist humidifier is that it's filter free, so no changing it or needing to buy filters every again.
