My daughter had a great time putting it together and while I helped her a little bit, as she is still mastering the alphabet, for the most part she put it together by herself. It is a 36 piece puzzle so it wasn’t difficult to get it done before she lost interest.
She found the pieces large and easy for small hands to work with. The blue background, large letters and pictures made recognizing them simple. When completed it is five feet long so you need plenty of floor space.
The pictures that go with the letters were very easy for her to recognize and understand. We did the puzzle twice and she was able to complete it both times. One or two pieces are cut in spots that made it a little challenging to figure out exactly where they went, but she was able to figure it out.
As she was trying to figure out which piece came next, she would sing the alphabet as she pointed to the appropriate letter, so it was quite effective in reinforcing her knowledge of the letters. We thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle and would recommend it for families with kids who are learning the alphabet.
