Fairy Tales in the Park, is a series of free live theatrical performances geared towards children ages 3 to 10. This week the new show, "Peter Pan 2: Hook's Revenge," premieres on Saturday, June 6 at 11:30am in Westlake, 4pm in Simi, and Sunday, June 7 at Channel Island Harbor at 2pm.
The following week on, Saturday, June 13th the show will repeat in Camarillo at 11:30am and Ventura at 4pm.
In Peter Pan 2: Hook's Revenge, it's been ten years and Captain James Hook is looking for revenge! He has found Peter Pan...but there's just one little problem...Peter Pan doesn't know he's Peter Pan anymore! Worse yet: all of Hook's pirates have retired to Florida leaving the captain with their pirate daughters! Hook decides to kidnap Wendy and jog Peter's memory. Will Peter remember who he really is? Will Wendy be rescued? And why is Tinkerbell acting so strange?

The goal behind Fairy Tales in the Park is to create an environment where families can introduce live theatre to their children. All Fairy Tales in the Park performances are held outdoors at local parks and they are always free of charge, though donations and sponsors are always welcomed.- Peter Pan is played by SPENCER ANDELSON who has been acting for almost 3 and a half years and graduated from Moorpark with an AA in Performing Arts this past May and will be transferring next year. When not acting he enjoys spending time with family and nerding out with good friends.
- Cecci is played by SIERRA ARMSTRONG who is appearing in her third production. She loves to act and hopes to be in another Gypsies in a Trunk production again soon. She would like to thank her mom and dad for their support.
- Captain Hook is played by CHRIS CARNICELLI who loves writing & directing these plays and being on stage with a group of truly talented actors & friends. A 24 year stage veteran all over Ventura County, Chris has written, performed, and directed over 22 of the Gypsy’s plays. His children’s books “Something’s in the Forest!” and “Charlie’s Halloween Party”, are available on Amazon.com, and you can currently read his movie reviews in Moorpark’s ‘Community Link’ newspaper. - Wendy is played by HANNAH COMSTOCK a student at Pierce College and she is very excited to perform with Gypsies in a Trunk for the very first time. She was last seen in Bye Bye Birdie at Camarillo Skyway Playhouse, as crazy fangirl Ursula Merkle. Enjoy the show!!!
- Jenny Jukes is played by AUBREY GHAFFARY a 5th grade student at Walnut Canyon. She is thankful to be working with such an amazing cast. She would like to thank Chris Carnicelli for such an amazing experience!
- Smeegle is played by QUINN LASHER who is super excited to be in her first Gypsy Production. She is 11 years old and is in 5th grade at Flory Elementary School. She has previously been in Annie, Jr (with the fabulous Chris Carnicelli directing), Beauty & the Beast, Peter Pan, Jr and Christmas Magic at High Street Theater. She’d like to thank her parents and her dog Waffles for their continued support. Her cats really don’t care.
Bring water, juice, snacks, picnics, hats and wear sunscreen if needed. Blankets and low-slung chairs are recommended and no pets please. Each show runs 45 minutes.
